TEDxAlbany Tickets on Sale for December 5th Event

TEDxAlbany, an independently organized event, annually sponsored by Overit, announces its schedule of speakers and that tickets are now on sale! This year’s day-long event will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Overit’s headquarters on New Scotland Avenue in Albany.

Scott Jarzombek, Executive Director of the Albany Public Library, will serve as the emcee for this year’s event. The selected speakers and talks for 2019:

  • Rick Collins: Be Aware & Stay Aware

  • Yulkendy Valdez & Sonia Mañjon: Why Women of Color Are The Future of Tech
  • Thembi Bheka: We Can’t Solve 21st Century Problems with 20th Century Solutions
  • Mike De Socio: Why Leaders Must be Vulnerable to Create Change
  • David Seelow: Childing: The Promise, Pleasure and Purpose of Superheroes
  • Joseph Luzzi:  How Literature Can Save Your Life
  • Will Trevor:  ‘Is this the Right Room for an Argument?’ The Science of Online Arguments
