International Trade Awards Recognize Local Individuals and Companies for Global Success
The Tech Valley Global Business Network (TVGBN) has selected five winners for its 2015 Excellence in International Trade (“Globie”) Awards. The Globies recognize individuals or organizations that have demonstrated excellence in international trade, success in conducting business overseas or support for international trade in Tech Valley.
TVGBN is a partnership between the Capital Region Chamber, the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County and Center for Economic Growth. The network aligns organizations in the region to collectively provide education and networking opportunities for area companies interested in global trade.
Globie recipients will be honored during the 2015 Excellence in International Trade Awards dinner on Thursday, October 29 at Wolferts Roost Country Club in Albany. This year’s Globie winners are:
- Large Manufacturer – Awarded to a company with gross sales of more than $40 million and four years of progressive international trading: Mohawk
- Small/Medium Manufacturer – Awarded to a company with gross sales of fewer than $40 million and four years of progressive international trading: Mechanical Technology, Inc. (MTI)
- Trade Partner -Awarded to a company with three years of active participation in the international trade arena by supporting and/or providing services to companies involved in international trade: Content Enablers
- Exporter of Services – Awarded to a company with three years of active participation in the international trade arena by exporting professional international services: Informz
- Trader/Broker – Awarded to a company with three years of active participation in the international trade arena and an increase in trade import or exporting: Schwartz Heslin Group, Inc.
