Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisor Frank Tan and team have announced a $30,000 donation to The Massry Family Children’s Emergency Center at Albany Med, the region’s only pediatric emergency department.
“At Northwestern Mutual, we firmly believe in the power of transforming the communities around us and improving the lives of others,” said Frank Tan, Financial Advisor. “We are pleased to support Albany Med’s efforts to focus on the importance of addressing the needs of the children who will, one day, become the backbone of the nation.”
Like most of his teammates and their families, Frank Tan is an immigrant,
finding his way to New York after traveling half the globe from the Philippines. The team came from various backgrounds and practiced different careers until reaching their way to Northwestern Mutual. Tan and his team embraced the company’s philosophy of enriching peoples’ lives and securing their financial well-being.
“On behalf of our dedicated doctors, nurses and staff at The Massry Family Children’s Emergency Center at Albany Med, the region’s only pediatric emergency department, I want to thank Frank Tan and his team for their generous donation,” said Denis Pauze, M.D., chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Albany Med. “This support ensures that our experts in pediatric medicine can continue to care for children and teenagers in a safe, family-friendly environment.”
This donation to Albany Med connects with the team’s continued desire to give back to the community that has embraced them. It also comes full circle as Tan previously worked at Albany Med, as well as another team member. That member’s spouse is currently a nurse there.
