Tanya Buechner Joins Wildwood

Wildwood is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Buechner as its new Director of Communications. Buechner succeeds Tom Schreck, who retired after 25 years in the position. In this key leadership role, Buechner will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive internal and external communication strategies, managing public relations, including essential media outreach and crisis communications, and overseeing all digital content, social media channels, website management, and video production.

Prior to joining Wildwood, Buechner dedicated 24 years to Broadview Federal Credit Union, holding several critical roles, including Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Manager, and Director of Marketing. Following the merger of SEFCU and CAP COM, she was the Director of Employee Communications, where she was responsible for researching, creating, and disseminating internal communications across the intranet and via email, while also overseeing video production. Most recently, she served as the Director of Field Marketing, leading a team that managed relationships with key organizational stakeholders and drove marketing efforts for major credit union campaigns.

“Wildwood is delighted to welcome Tanya to this new role,” said Lou Deepe, Wildwood CEO. “Her more than two decades of dedicated marketing and communications experience make her an ideal fit for the agency, and we are eager to leverage her deep expertise in these crucial areas,” continued Deepe.

For nearly 60 years, Wildwood has been committed to providing comprehensive supports and services to people of all ages with developmental disabilities, complex learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. Additionally, the Wildwood School, which is approved by the New York State Education Department, educates students ages 5-21 from approximately 60 school districts across 14 counties.
