SUNY SCCC & SUNY Chancellor Zimpher to Host Excelsior Scholarship Information Session, 5/11

SUNY Schenectady County Community College (SUNY SCCC) will host an information session for students, families, and the community on the Excelsior Scholarship, a recently-approved free-tuition program. SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher and Dr. Steady Moono, SUNY SCCC President, will speak at the event, attending alongside other SUNY representatives and dignitaries.

Nancy Zimpher is the 12th Chancellor of the State University of New York, the largest comprehensive system of higher education. Dedicated to driving education reform, Chancellor Zimpher leads a diverse set of successful initiatives which serve New York students and the State more broadly.

The Excelsior Scholarship is a state aid program approved under Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Free-Tuition Plan, for eligible students pursuing two-year and four-year degrees at public colleges and universities in New York State.

The information session will take place on Thursday, May 11 at 2:30 pm at 78 Washington Ave, Schenectady, NY 12305 in the Van Curler Room in Elston Hall.
