Sunrise Management & Consulting Celebrates Opening of Sunrise Solars Coworking

The Chamber was happy to take part in a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of Sunrise Solars Coworking on June 22.

Sunrise Management & Consulting has launched the newest coworking space in the Capital Region, Sunrise Solars Coworking, where original ideas and abundant coffee percolate. The suburban-based coworking option is well-suited for today’s needs as the region emerges from the pandemic. It is located in a brand-new building with private workspaces, windows that open, and high-efficiency air filtration.

Sunrise Solars Coworking is in the commercial building of Sunrise’s new Sunrise Solars Development on 4.5 acres in Latham off Troy-Schenectady Road. Construction took place during the pandemic, and Sunrise Management & Consulting planned a coworking location to keep up with additional demands on the space.

“There were vast changes to the office market due to COVID,” explains Sunrise Management & Consulting Founder and President Jesse Holland. “Many office workers went remote, corporate footprints shrunk, and some companies went to a combined remote/in-person model. Awareness was at an all-time high of HVAC systems, MERV filtration, and the benefits of fresh air. We saw a departure of office workers from cities, and they were looking for a new workplace option.”

The Sunrise Solars Development is a unique 4.5-acre mixed-use project situated off Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham near I-87 and the Albany International Airport. It consists of existing retail space, new apartment buildings, and a new commercial building featuring cutting-edge architectural designs to capture passive solar energy and rooftop solar panels. Besides being the home to Sunrise Solars Coworking, the commercial building is also the home of Sunrise Management & Consulting, a multifamily property management and development company, and New Abode, LLC, a licensed real estate brokerage. In a 9-unit and 12-unit building, Sunrise Solars Apartments offers one and two-bedroom apartments with windows positioned for all-day sunlight. Top Tile leases the existing retail space.

“When evaluating our commercial building and thinking about the best use of the second floor, we realized that it was ideally positioned to be a coworking space that would meet today’s needs,” said Holland. “Our second floor is separated into office spaces that can be used for coworking or private office memberships with a turnkey office solution. Instead of having to pay for an office suite with a conference room, Internet service, and furniture all tied into a long-term lease, our clients like the flexibility of a membership model. They can also separately rent a conference room or event space for an hour or a day. Whether you need to get out of the house to focus on getting work done, are visiting from out of town and need an office for a day, or you work for a company embracing a remote or partially remote work philosophy, you can enjoy flexible Class A office space as a member of Sunrise Solars Coworking.  Large windows that open for fresh air and a new high-efficiency HVAC system appeal to pandemic-attuned sensibilities. Unlike many downtown workspaces, Sunrise Solars Coworking also offers free off-street parking without any hassle.”

Centrally located, Sunrise Solars offers coworking or private office memberships with bookable conference room time included. Members can enjoy safe meetings in a conference room or the privacy of their own office with the peace of mind that a high-quality air filtration system brings. Whether members need a private office, a coworking all-access pass, or a ten-day pass, Sunrise Solars features several options, including renting a conference room by the hour for nonmembers.
