The Rotterdam Town Board recently approved Sunmark Federal Credit Union’s application to build a branch in Rotterdam, New York. Sunmark Federal Credit Union (Sunmark) today introduced details of the new branch location to better serve the city of Rotterdam and Schenectady County residents.

Sunmark plans to construct a 15 hundred square foot branch at the current site of the former Friendly’s restaurant on Altamont Avenue. Demolition of the former Friendly’s building is scheduled for May with the construction the new branch beginning in June. A grand opening is currently scheduled for the latter part of October.

The new Rotterdam branch will be a full service location equipped with Interactive Teller machines (ITM’s) and two lanes of drive through service. After daily operating hours, the ITM’s will be available extending convenient hours to all members.

New technology will also include video conferencing for individuals interested in the wide selection of Sunmark products including mortgages, investments, insurance and business services. The branch will feature the option to speak immediately to a Sunmark professional in each specific area of interest through a video conference for added convenience.

Sunmark CEO, Frank DeGraw added “This is very exciting news for Sunmark as the Rotterdam branch opening will be the first new Sunmark branch opening in more than 10 years. We look forward to serving the Rotterdam Community and continue to review opportunities that will allow Sunmark to expand our services in the Capital Region.”
