October 8, 2025Sunmark Credit Union to Host Free Community Shred Day Event on October 18
Sunmark Credit Union, a full-service, community-chartered credit union serving New York through financial services and education, is hosting a free Community Shred Day on Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Community members will have the opportunity to bring their unwanted documents to the Latham Financial Center, located at 1187 Troy-Schenectady Road, to be securely shredded on the spot. Sunmark Credit Union employees will be on hand to help unload documents from vehicles. During the event, the credit union will also begin collecting new and handmade winter hats of all sizes to be donated to Hatsgiving, a local charity that donates winter hats to pediatric cancer patients nationwide.
The free Community Shred Day event is a part of Sunmark Credit Union’s “Member Appreciation Month” celebrated throughout the month of October. The initiative is in its fifth year and focuses on giving back to credit union members.
