The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York’s 7th Annual Stroll for Epilepsy will be held on Sunday, September 13, at the Saratoga Spa State Park – Columbia Pavilion. Over the past six years the event has attracted 3,200 “strollers” and raised $330,200.
Enjoy a “stroll” through the beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park while helping a great cause! Gather your family, friends, and co-workers to help raise awareness and funds for the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., Stroll starts at 11 a.m. Pre-registration preferred; register early online by clicking here and receive a Stroll for Epilepsy t-shirt while supplies last!
Registration fees are: $25 per person ($30 day of event); students $10; children 12 and under are FREE. Enjoy music and entertainment for the kids immediately following the walk, along with a BBQ lunch compliments of the Holiday Inn Resort Lake George. The Event Sponsor this year is NY Epilepsy in Clifton Park. Epilepsy is defined as having two or more recurring seizures; it can happen to anyone, at any age, at any time. Epilepsy is more common than Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease combined. The Epilepsy Foundation provides direct services for people with epilepsy and their families in 22 counties, including the Capital Region, North Country, and Upper Hudson Valley. These services include education and training of school personnel and students, public education and awareness, service coordination, advocacy, counseling, and first aid training.
