September 18, 2017Sponsor-A-Scholar Welcomes New College Success Manager
Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar recently welcomed a new member of the staff, Benjamin Sweet, who will serve as the program’s college success manager.
Robin Christenson, executive director of Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar, highlighted the new addition: “Ben brings critical college access experience as well as extensive experience in facilitating trainings and volunteer management to our staff that will help us to enhance our proven college readiness and completion programs and will assist us in our goal of engaging our alumni in our mission.”
Mr. Sweet recently relocated from Red Hook, New York, where he was an academic advisor at Bard College in the Higher Education Opportunity Program. He earned his masters degree from SUNY New Paltz and holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego.
