Sponsor-A-Scholar Welcomes New Board Member, New Leadership

Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar recently welcomed one new board member: Camellia Loojune, a financial analyst at High Impact Financial Analysis, and an alumna of the college success program.

The organization also voted in new board leadership, including Board Chair F. Michael Zovistoski, a partner with the accounting firm UHY LLP.

Robin Christenson, Executive Director, said “We are pleased to have Michael continuing our strong tradition of dedicated board leadership. I am excited to work with him as we intensify our efforts to support local students who are pursuing their dreams for a college degree. I am also thrilled to welcome Camellia, one of our longtime volunteers, to the board.”

Camellia is a graduate of Schenectady High School and an alumna of Syracuse University, where she earned Bachelors degrees inboth Accounting and Finance. Ms. Loojune is a Junior Analyst at High Impact Financial Analysis in Albany. She spreads and analyzes borrower and guarantor financial statements, performs analyses of loan portfolios, and assists in loan underwriting. She has extensive experience working with various social enterprise ventures both nationally and internationally.

Prior to her role with High Impact, Ms. Loojune spent a year in Syracuse, where she focused on community development, strategic planning, and process improvement for the Rescue Mission of Central NY and CenterState CEO. Additionally, she spent two years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Forensic Accountant. She will serve a two year term on the board.
