June 22, 2018Sponsor-A-Scholar Launches Summer Bridge Program on Wednesday, June 27th
‘Confidence into Action’ is the theme of Capital Regtion Sponsor-A-Scholar’s first-ever summer bridge program. The two day event features a panel of current college students about ‘Real Talk about College’, and interactive workshops on a range of topics, including financial aid, interviewing skills, and navigating the resources on a college campus. Sponsor-A-Scholar’s many community partners, volunteers and alumni will assist with the event.
WHO: Students who are in Sponsor-A-Scholar’s High School Class of 2018 or Class of 2019.
WHAT: A two-day event that combines small-group workshops, networking opportunities and other activities for students enrolled in the Sponsor-A-Scholar program.
WHERE: All sessions will be held at the Bulmer Technology Center at Hudson Valley Community College
WHEN: The program runs from 9am to 4pm, June 27th and 28th.
WHY: The event will aid students in building an array of skills to prepare them for college success.
