Spina Bifida Association of New York State to Host 2026 “DARE TO DREAM” Gala in Troy

The Spina Bifida Association of New York State (SBANYS) will host its annual DARE TO DREAM Gala on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, New York. The celebration features a three-course meal, live music, silent and live auction, and an awards ceremony honoring individuals who are making a difference in the Spina Bifida community. All proceeds directly fund SBANYS programs, advocacy, and support services for individuals and families impacted by Spina Bifida across New York State.

“We are excited to bring our community together for an evening that celebrates the people who make our work possible,” said Julia Duff, Executive Director of SBANYS. “Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and auction bid placed helps strengthen our ability to support New Yorkers impacted by Spina Bifida. Together, we can continue building a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.”

Event Highlights & Schedule:

The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 6:15 p.m. The ceremony will be hosted by Honorary Chair Jordan Dunn, auctioneer with JD Creative. Highlights of the evening will feature the presentation of the You Make a Difference Award to Eric Ryan of TRIPPR, recognizing his contributions to the Spina Bifida community. At 7:30 p.m., guests will gather for the presentation of the – Eric Crow Trailblazer Award, along with the closing of the silent auction. The evening will continue at 7:45 p.m. with the live auction and dessert, before coming to an end at 9:00 p.m.

Ticket & Registration Details:  

Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to participate by purchasing individual tickets, reserving a table, or becoming a gala sponsor. Discounted tickets are available for individuals living with Spina Bifida and caregivers of people living with Spina Bifida for $85. Guests aged 33 and under are eligible for a $10 discount, and tables of eight are available for $800.
