Spice Malabar Opens in Clifton Park

The Chamber was delighted to participate in a ribbon cutting for Spice Malabar, who recently opened its doors in Clifton Park. Vince George, owner and chef, was excited to host regional dignitaries, representatives within the Hindu, Indian and South Asian communities and provided a festive buffet for the guests to sample.

Spice Malabar beautifully honors the flavors of North and South Indian cuisine. North Indian cuisine includes dishes and breads cooked in the tandoor, a cylindrical clay oven. South Indian Cuisine brings together the cuisines of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mangalore and Goa with an exquisite range of healthy dishes that are created with flair and style.

Visitors to Spice Malabar will experience an impressive lunch buffet, including tandoor, vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties. Convenient takeout boxed lunch specials and other à la carte menu options are offered mid-day. The expansive dinner menu consists of appetizers, tandoori specialties, vegetarian, chicken, game and seafood preparations. A tasting menu, comprised of authentic Indian delicacies paired with vegetable Biriyani, Garlic Naan and Tandoori Broccoli, is a recommended way to sample the unique flavors of the kitchen. Classic signatures such as Mango Curry, Chettinadu and Pepper Fry dishes also are available along with an authentic homemade dessert menu. A fully stocked bar offers hand-crafted cocktails and tastefully selected wine and beer from regional purveyors and worldwide to complement the spices and aroma of the restaurant’s cuisine.

Spice Malabar is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday from noon to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday noon to 3 p.m. Dinner hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 5 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 5 to 9 p.m. For more information, visit www.spicemalabar.com
