October 6, 2016Soroptimist Society Dedicates Peace Garden
Soroptimist International of Schenectady is responsible for helping women of all ages who have been involved in human trafficking or victims of domestic abuse. The group has been in operation for 62 years. Its great work throughout the Capital Region makes them an asset to us all. The Chamber, Soroptimist members, friends and elected officials celebrated the unveiling of a new peace garden in Riverside Park in the City of Schenectady. The garden is a symbol not only of the struggle these women face, but of the triumph and success they create under such adversity. The Chamber was honored to be part of this special day.
