Siena Men’s Basketball Hosting Division II Power IUP in Exhibition November 2

Tickets are on-sale now for Siena’s men’s basketball exhibition game against Division II power Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Monday, November 2 at 7 p.m. in the Alumni Recreation Center. Tickets range from $5-$10 and can be purchased fee free by using THIS LINK while supplies last.

The exhibition game will give fans their first look at the 2015-16 Saints. Tickets can be purchased online up to 24 hours in advance of the game to guarantee admission, and then will be available at the door the night of the game while supplies last. Capacity in the new-look ARC is capped at 1,600.

Chairback seating is available behind the team benches. Tickets in the chairback seats are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. General admission seats in the new bleachers opposite the benches are $8 for adults and $5 for children $12 and under.

The Saints return red-shirt junior captain Brett Bisping who played just six games last season after injuring his toe. Senior Imoh Silas is also on the road to recovery after missing all of last year with a torn ACL. Junior point guard Marquis Wright has more assists than any player in the MAAC the last two years, and has been named captain for a third straight season.

Senior Ryan Oliver and junior Lavon Long each produced in meaningful minutes played the past two seasons, and the sophomore class of Jimmy Paige, Willem Brandwijk and Cameron Gottfried gained valuable experience as well last year.

Third year head coach Jimmy Patsos welcomes four newcomers who fans can see in action for the first time November 2. Nico Clareth, Evan Fisher, Kinnon LaRose and Kenny Wormley make up the Class of 2019.

IUP advanced to the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship game. It was the second national title game appearance in the last six seasons for the Crimson Hawks, and they have averaged over 27 wins per year during that span.

IUP finished the 2014-15 season with a 31-7 overall record, defeating West Liberty (W. Va.) for the Atlantic Region Championship to advance to the Elite Eight. IUP then went on to defeat Azusa Pacific (Calif.) and comeback to beat Tarleton State (Tex.) before falling to Florida Southern in the title game.

IUP returns five players from last year’s national finalist squad, all seniors, including guards Brandon Norfleet (Virginia Beach, Va. /Landstown) and Anthony Rocco (Northern Cambria, Pa. /Northern Cambria), and forwards Devon Cottrell (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Gateway), Tevin Hanner (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) and Daddy Ugbede (Gardena, Calif./Serra).
