August 2, 2023Shenantaha Creek Park Pickleball Court Ribbon Cutting
The Town of Malta celebrated the new Pickleball courts with a ribbon cutting facilitated by the Capital Region Chamber and The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County.
Pickleball has become very popular lately, even getting coverage on ESPN. As USA Pickleball notes, the activity is “fun, social and friendly! The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game.” Congratulations to Malta Town Supervisor Mark Hammond and the town on this great new improvement to the quality of life in the town. Kudos to Kristan Gottman, Acting Parks & Rec. Director & Human Services and her four hardworking Park Maintenance staffers for getting the courts renovated and rebuilt.
