SEFCU, one of the largest credit unions in upstate New York, recently hired Ken Jubie as Director, Internal Communications.
In his new role, Jubie is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the credit union’s internal communications strategy. Jubie will centralize communications across all SEFCU teams, divisions, and departments using a variety of platforms and tactics. His efforts will help SEFCU empower its employees and address the company’s business needs, leading to more satisfied members and business partners, and more thoroughly supported communities across New York State.
Jubie has a diverse background in the fields of communications, marketing, and broadcast journalism that spans more than a decade. Before joining SEFCU, Jubie served as manager of media services at his alma mater, Siena College. In that role, Jubie oversaw Siena’s media relations, video production, and campus news operations. He also served as the college spokesperson. Jubie played an integral role in supporting Siena’s academic, enrollment, and development-related initiatives, including the launch of its strategic plan and comprehensive campaign. Prior to Siena, Jubie worked as a television news reporter, anchor, and sports anchor at Time Warner Cable News in Albany. He reported on a myriad of topics, including state and local politics, crime, business, and local sports.
Jubie graduated from Siena College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in economics. He holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Jubie and his family live in Colonie.
