Seasonal Al Fresco Dining Experience Opens at Saratoga National Golf Club

The Porch at Saratoga National to feature elevated casual, gastro pub style menu.

Angelo Mazzone announces a new seasonal dining experience, The Porch at Saratoga National opens on the patio Friday, May 13th.

The Porch is an open-air, gastro pub. The elevated casual dining restaurant overlooks the 18th green, infinity pool, and owl pond. The Porch is surrounded by fresh herbs, planted and grown by the Green Bed Project.

The Porch will be open daily for lunch and dinner, dessert, cold and crisp refreshers, and Sunday brunch. Hours of operation are weekdays from 11am – 9pm, weekends from 11am – 10pm, Sunday from 10am – 9pm, and brunch until 2pm. The outdoor bar is open daily at 4pm. Walk-ins are highly encouraged and welcomed. Reservations for 8+ please call our main line.

The menu is inspired by creating unique experiences with friends and family through cocktails and shareable plates. It includes an assortment of fresh, creative salads and appetizers, Fruits de Mer and shareable steam pots. Don’t forget your classic mains featuring lobster club, wagyu smashed burger, B.L.T. Kobe dog, steak frites and fried chicken sandwich. Something fresh for local and new patrons. The same menu is available for lunch and dinner all day.

The Porch offers a crisp, clean, light, and airy bistro feel with hints of greenery, a unique al fresco dining experience. The look, feel, and menu were inspired by a Rockefeller Center restaurant.

The menu for The Porch was created by Saratoga National Executive Chef Brandon Johnson and guidance by Chef Julian Alonzo, the Regional Executive Chef for Food+ by Compass Group. Chef Julian has more than 25 years of progressive culinary experience. Working in some of the most celebrated kitchens in the country, such as La Caravelle and Maxims in New York City. A graduate of the prestigious French Culinary Institute, Chef Julian’s career began at the New York Times three-star Montrachet Restaurant working alongside Chef David Bouley.

Executive Chef Brandon Johnson’s calling to the culinary world was something he recognized in himself from a very young age. He is a creative, up-and-coming chef who continuously strives for high-quality results while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Having extensive industry experience within the greater Capital Region, he brings a passion for fine cuisine and dining. Brandon’s innate appreciation and respect for top-tier ingredients, recipes, craftsmanship, and teamwork shines through at Prime and The Porch.

Prime at Saratoga National remains the high-end steakhouse it has always been and still attracts many diners from out of town during the race season in Saratoga Springs. “There is a special feeling here that can’t be matched anywhere else” says General Manager, Heather O’Neill. “Prime at Saratoga National saw a need for a new, modern restaurant with Instagram inspired food, @theporch_saratoganational, a way to bring guests back to Saratoga National with a new, more upscale casual dining experience.”

Prime at Saratoga National will be open for dinner, both inside and on the outside lower patio beginning at 5pm. The Prime bar will open at 4pm. Lunch will be offered by The Porch daily inside lounge as well as outside.
