Schenectady Symphony Hosts Annual “Beat Beethoven” 5k Run

Schenectady Symphony is excited to host their 3rd Annual Beat Beethoven 5k Run on Sunday, October 4. Beat Beethoven is the region’s first and best 5k that supports the arts in our community and it is growing fast!

Last year, almost 200 runners crossed the finish line before the end of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony (broadcast courtesy of WMHT) and earned a free ticket to the Schenectady Symphony’s first concert of the season.  Help Schenectady Symphony celebrate the growth here in Schenectady through nonprofits and arts!

If you’re a runner, please think about entering – it’s only a $20 fee until Monday September 14 (the entry fee goes up to $25 from the September 15 through September 30; race day registration is available at $30).  If you’d rather walk, the Symphony would still love to have you!  There’s plenty of room – the course in Central Park is nice and it’s a great way to spend a morning supporting the Schenectady Symphony.

Above all, misery loves company!  So if you’re on the fence about running, try to recruit a friend or two. Between the legitimate awards and the fun ones, you’ll enjoy the morning even more.

Registration is required. To register, please click here.
