Schenectady County Historical Society Opens Brouwer House

The Schenectady County Historical Society held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, September 26 to celebrate the opening of the recently acquired Brouwer House, located at 14 North Church Street in the historic Stockade District of Schenectady.

One of Schenectady’s oldest homes, the Brouwer House was generously donated by the Kindl family to the Schenectady County Historical Society. “We look forward to working with other organizations, artists, crafters, and creative locals to make the Brouwer House a vibrant community space” stated Mary Zawacki, Executive Director of the Schenectady County Historical Society. “In the next year we will work with the community to develop plans for the space’s best use. We’re excited to the history of this beautiful home, and even more excited to explore what its future uses may be”.
