The Schenectady Armory to Host Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Fundraising Event

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region today announces that The Schenectady Armory Center will host The Masquerade: Streets of London on Friday, October 27.

Each year, the fundraising event receives about 500 guests with hundreds more signed up on a waiting list for the chance to attend. In expectation of the popularity of The Masquerade this year, The Ronald McDonald House sought a venue that could accommodate a larger audience. The Schenectady Armory’s 33,000 square feet of event space will more than accommodate the anticipated guests, but has also provided The Masquerade planning committee the space to reach new heights creatively.

“The Schenectady Armory has been an incredible partner,” said Jeff Yule, executive director of The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region. “We have set very lofty fundraising goals for this year’s event and The Armory was excited to help us achieve them. We’re thrilled to bring The Masquerade to Schenectady because of the incredible downtown development efforts. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have planned – it is going to surpass all expectations!”

The Masquerade will transport guests back in time to The Streets of London at the turn of the century. Guests’ can expect a formal evening with delicious culinary options, exciting décor, a silent auction and fun entertainment. For those interested in attending The Masquerade, tickets can be purchased at CapitalMasquerade.com.

Proceeds from the event support The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, which provides programs that improve the health, development and wellbeing of local children and their families.
