April 28, 2020Schenectady Rotary Partners with Schenectady ARC for Flower and Herb Fundraiser
The Schenectady Rotary is conducting a “Flower and Herb Sale” throughout the month of May 2020 in partnership with Schenectady ARC. The plants are grown by individuals with developmental disabilities at Schenectady ARC’s Horticulture Center in Rotterdam. The annual sale includes 10” hanging baskets of petunias, impatiens, geraniums and more; 10” mixed herb garden pots and 10” mixed flower patio pots. Planted containers are $22 each. Proceeds will be shared between Schenectady ARC and Schenectady Rotary. Because of the current public health crisis, orders and payment are accepted by online payment only. Orders may be picked up at Schenectady ARC’s Maple Ridge Day Center, 2999 Hamburg Street in Rotterdam on the following schedule:
Orders placed prior to May 7, 2020 may be picked up on May 8: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and May 9: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Orders placed after May 7, 2020 and before May 22 may be picked up on May 22: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and May 23: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The outdoor pick up site is at the rear of the ARC Maple Ridge Day Center, 2999 Hamburg Street, Rotterdam. Social distancing precautions will be observed. This fundraiser supports both Schenectady ARC’s horticulture program and the Schenectady Rotary Club’s many local and international humanitarian projects.
