ALBANY, N.Y., May 6, 2015 – SaxBST LLP and William C. Freitag, leader of the firm’s Governmental and Municipal Services Group, were recently presented with the Corporate Member of the Year Award by the Municipal Electric Utilities Association (MEUA) of New York State. The award honors corporate MEUA members for their commitment and service to the association, its members and the municipal utilities industry as a whole.
Freitag, a Partner at SaxBST since 1998, was also commended for his contribution to MEUA’s annual accounting and finance workshop last fall, where he presented on Accounting for Operating Property and its Implication on Future Rate Filings. Freitag is a frequent speaker and widely recognized expert on utilities audits, complex rate making, cost accounting issues, and employee benefit plan audits.
