Saratoga County 4-H: William M. Schwerd Center Ribbon Cutting

The Capital Region Chamber was proud to lead the ceremony at the new Saratoga County 4-H educational facility in Ballston Spa (town of Milton), named after long-time Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County – Master Gardeners Executive Director Bill Schwerd. The 4H is a wonderful organization that is at the forefront of keeping Saratoga County agriculture vibrant and alive, while also supporting other activities such as robotics, shooting sports, and so much more.

Speakers included Bill Schwerd, CCE Director and 4-H Program Leader Greg Stevens, CCE President Jim Pettis, Senator Jim Tedisco, Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh, Manik Elahi representing Congressman Paul D. Tonko, Town of Milton Deputy Supervisor Barbara Kerr. Other officials present included Town of Greenfield NY Supervisor Kevin Veitch, Town of Wilton NY supervisor John Lant, and Saratoga Springs, New York mayor Ron Kim.
