July 10, 2017Roy’s Caribbean Opens Second Location in Schenectady
Roy’s Caribbean Restaurant and Sports Bar officially opened following a ribbon cutting on Friday, July 7th. The Chamber along with staff, family, friends and local officials welcomed Roy Vincent into the city. Roy has a well established location in downtown Albany for the past 27 years. Many patrons requested that Roy bring his traditional authentic Jamaican cuisine to Schenectady. After looking for just the right location Roy chose 769 State Street. He likes the accessibility and foot traffic of the location. Roy also had a special guest from SCCC. The Dean of the culinary institute David Brough was on hand to say a few words. He surprised Roy with an invitation for him to bring some of his famous Jamaican cuisine into the classroom and be a guest chef for the students at SCCC. We know that this second location will be a success. We wish Roy and family many years of business in their new city!
