The Chamber along with ambassadors, local elected officials and many friends, family and supporters were all on hand to officially open Roosters NY on Friday, June 1. The restaurant is owned and operated by Carlo Viscusi, a native of Rotterdam. Carlo notes that he could not have done this alone and that his parents, Ziggy and Glorianna, were major contributors to the restaurant’s success. Ziggy works daily with Carlo in the prep kitchen and Glorianna created the interior farmhouse decor.
Roosters is very proud that all their ingredients are extremely fresh and don’t any preservatives. In fact, there is no freezer on premise! Carlo also carries merchandise from other local producers in his restaurant for purchase, as supporting local business is very important Carlo.
What’s more is that Roosters is also a gourmet coffee shop. You can even take home a pound of custom Roosters coffee – created by Carlos himself. He hopes that with the modern/farmhouse decor, farm fresh food and gourmet coffee, Roosters will become a destination for locals and travelers alike.
