“Rock & Roll Icons” Photography Exhibit Opens at Albany Institute

The Albany Institute of History & Art’s newest exhibition Rock & Roll Icons: Photographs by Patrick Harbron will run from November 5, 2016-February 12, 2017.

Hudson Valley and New York City resident Patrick Harbron began his career photographing the icons of rock and roll. From Blondie to The Who, Harbron has captured these artists and many others at pivotal moments in their careers. Now, explore more than 70 of his concert and portrait photographs of influential musicians from the 1970s and 1980s. This exhibition also includes some of Harbron’s concert posters, memorabilia, and souvenirs, as well as guitars from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame [including Eric Clapton’s “Blackie” model Fender Stratocaster played on the “Journeyman” tour, as well as pieces of a guitar smashed by Pete Townshend].

Major funding for this exhibition provided by Bank of America. Additional sponsors include David & Lois Swawite, Lavelle & Finn, LLP, Campito Plumbing & Heating, and Digitalx-Press.
