Robert Curley Receives the Capital Region Chamber’s ChangeMaker Award

Berkshire Bank is proud to announce that Robert Curley, Berkshire Bank’s New York Chairman, was honored with the ChangeMaker award by the Capital Region Chamber for his leadership and impact on the region’s economic vitality. The award was presented to Curley at the 2019 Annual Chamber Dinner on March 28th, where he was honored along with Nikki Caruso, Executive Director of Colonie Youth Center.

A well-known and highly respected banking executive and community leader, Curley is currently a Director for Berkshire Hills Bancorp and Berkshire Bank’s New York Chairman.  In his current role, Curley works with Bank leadership to direct growth opportunities in the New York region.  During his career, he has been President of eight banks including Citizens, Charter One and KeyBank.   From 2005 to 2009, Curley served as Chairman and President for Citizens Bank in New York.  Prior to joining Citizens, Curley served at Charter One Bank where he was President for New York and New England. Curley began his career at KeyCorp, where he rose to the position of Vice Chairman of KeyBank N.A., and served as President and CEO of four subsidiary banks.
