Rising out of Poverty? SCAP can help

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017, Niskayuna Rotary is pleased to welcome Jessica Devito of SCAP as our featured guest speaker. The mission of Schenectady Community Action Program (SCAP) is to alleviate poverty by helping people help themselves. Nearly 12,000 people walk through SCAP’s doors each year in search of hope and opportunities.

SCAP supports AND empowers people to build on their resources so they may eventually rise out of poverty and become self-supporting. The results are better families, plus stronger, more cohesive communities.

Niskayuna Rotary welcomes guests every Tuesday morning, 7:15 to 8:15 AM at the Blue Ribbon Restaurant & Bakery, 1801 State St (Route 5). Community-minded individuals are invited and encouraged to attend.
