Registration Open for WERC’s 2017 Annual Luncheon

The Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC) will hold their 2017 Annual Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy. Key Bank is the title sponsor of the event.

This is the 13th year that WERC will honor community leaders who have made important contributions to the personal and professional growth of women, as well as to the region’s economic vitality.

Kathleen McLean, CEO, The McLean Group, will be awarded the Harriet Rifkin Leadership Award in recognition of her leadership, volunteerism, professionalism, and her work in creating opportunities for women to achieve personal and financial independence.

Jade Gibson, Founder & Owner, Jade’s Hair Envy, will receive the WERCing Woman of Achievement Award.  This award is presented to a woman whose career path has been filled with unique transitions, unexpected challenges, opportunities to take risks, and who serves as an excellent role model for women served by WERC.

Susan Taylor, Manager, Great Finds Thrift Boutique, will be recognized with the Advancement of Women in the WERCplace Award for her longstanding efforts to remove barriers that keep women from achieving financial independence and success.
