March 9, 2016Red Cross Welcomes New Chief Development Officer
The American Red Cross is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Coffey as Regional Chief Development Officer for the Eastern New York Region. In this role, Coffey will work with external partners – including local businesses and business leaders, individual donors, board members and volunteers – to advance the Red Cross mission by raising funds to support the organization’s work.
“Kevin’s presence at the Red Cross has made an immediate impact, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our team,” said Gary Striar, CEO for the American Red Cross Eastern New York Region. “It’s exciting to have someone with Kevin’s combination of experience and enthusiasm working to build support for the Red Cross in our community.”
Coffey comes to the Red Cross from a long and successful career in sales. Most recently, he served as Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships for the Patient Experience Project (PEP), a full-service, patient-centric communications firm serving the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Prior to PEP, Coffey held leadership positions at Palio+Ignite, SAY Media, and Time Inc.
Coffey has also served as an adjunct professor at Skidmore College, and provides career mentoring for Skidmore students and recent graduates. He resides in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children.

The American Red Cross Eastern New York Region serves more than 2.5 million people across 24 counties, with offices in Albany, Glens Falls, Morrisonville, Poughkeepsie, Utica and Watertown. A small group of paid staff and more than 2,300 dedicated volunteers work together to provide relief for victims of home fires and other disasters, to train people in emergency preparedness and health and safety skills, to support members of the military and veterans in need, and much more.
