Cosmetology students at Capital Region BOCES routinely gain real life experience providing spa care to customers at the Albany and Schoharie campuses at reduced prices for decades.
Approximately 100 students from across the Capital Region are enrolled in the BOCES cosmetology program, gaining the skills and 1,000 hours of training and experience needed to take the New York State licensure exam. The experience prepares students to enter the workforce upon graduation or to go to college and a have a leg up on future business competitors.
“I enjoy working with the customers and getting to know them and gain experience,” said Nizeul.
