Schenectady-based marketing and communications firm, Buzz Media Solutions, has added Raona Roy, a Capital Region business leader, to the company’s strategic advisory group. Roy will be advising senior staff with developing and executing the firm’s strategic plan., “Raona Roy brings fresh ideas and a wealth of professional knowledge to our firm. We’re excited to have her join the team,” said Susan Bardack, CEO of Buzz Media Solutions.
Raona Roy is the CEO of Raona Roy and Company, a consulting firm that provides businesses and not-for-profits guidance with business strategy and resource development, marketing strategy, financial acumen, and leadership. Roy was the first director of institutional advancement at Tech Valley High, where she was tasked with providing strategic direction, developing infrastructure, building alliances with the business community, and identifying and engaging resources for the school.
Prior to Tech Valley High School, Roy was the visionary leader of the former Rensselaer County Council on the Arts (RCCA) where she worked with staff and volunteers to reimagine the agency and turn the financially struggling arts council into what is now the Arts Center in Troy, NY. Roy is credited as the architect and driving force behind the award-winning regional arts enterprise that anchored the revitalization of downtown Troy.
“Over a year ago we recognized the need for professional advisement to help us grow and manage Buzz Media. Raona Roy will be joining Gary Hughes on our strategic advisory group to assist us in that effort.
