On Tuesday August 29th , Niskayuna Rotary will welcome Niskayuna High School student Meghna Tetambe, who will talk about her community activities through BASE (Be Aware Stay Engaged) and SAPE (Students Advocating for a Positive Environment), which are NCAP led high school clubs, to promote drug and substance free choices and healthy lifestyles among today’s youth across the town and subsequently the nation.
While at the conference, Tetambe listened to nationally recognized speakers, who talked about making healthy choices, stereotyping, and the dangers of speeding while driving. She also participated in many youth driven workshops, on topics such as mental health and addiction, youth making change, coexisting and the dangers of overdosing.
