Proctors Collaborative Honored by Albany Business Review

Albany Business Review recently revealed its 2018 Achievers Awards winners. Proctors Collaborative was honored to be named Nonprofit of the Year, reflecting its continued growth, influence on regional culture and engagement with the community through arts and education.

From the Review: “CEO Philip Morris has expanded the role of Proctors into a powerful regional arts and entertainment organization reaching beyond its Schenectady base to most of the Capital Region. Recently renamed Proctors Collaborative to reflect its regional mission, Proctors has grown to include a school of performing arts, Capital Repertory Theatre, and Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, among others.”

The Achievement Awards will be presented Thursday, Nov. 8 at Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady.

The announcement came just one day after Proctors announced a new regional brand. Proctors Collaborative embraces Proctors, Capital Repertory Theatre and Universal Preservation Hall, as well as the School of Performing Arts at Proctors, Marquee Power, Open Stage Media and other organizations and initiatives of Proctors.

“Proctors Collaborative,” says Jim Murphy, director of marketing and corporate relations, “asserts the regional pursuit of our mission beyond a very specific physical space now associated with Proctors in downtown Schenectady.”
