Plants & Produce Featured in Latest capABILITY Magazine

The current issue of capABILITY, the Magazine of the Center for Disability Services, which is created by, for and about individuals with disabilities, is now available online at http://www.cfdsny.org/htmlweb/news_jump.html. The Summer 2017 magazine has a theme of Plants & Produce, with articles about gardening, healthy eating and mindfulness. Its Editor in Chief is Ed Bartz. The magazine, in its various formats, has been in existence for more than 20 years.

Developed by individuals at the Technology Center at 700 South Pearl Street in Albany, capABILITY began in newsletter format in 1996, with an expanded version introduced in 1998. Adult program participants learn computer skills, writing and interviewing techniques, photography, design and project management by working on it. Through the years, capABILITY evolved, and, for a time, it was a four color, printed magazine thanks to grant funding. It proved too costly to continue printing, and the magazine was moved online in February 2013, making it accessible to more people and giving it a larger presence.

New issues of capABILITY are posted periodically to the Center’s website cfdsny.org.
