Pioneer Bank Foundation Will Welcome Hundreds of Families to Raise Money for a Good Cause at its Second Annual Grand Carnival

The Pioneer Bank Foundation will welcome the Capital Region to enjoy a day of family-friendly entertainment, games and food at the Foundation’s Second Annual Grand Carnival, all in the name of supporting the Pioneer Bank Foundation’s local mission of “Helping Kids be Kids.”

The Grand Carnival will be held this Saturday, September 7, at Pioneer Plaza in Colonie (652 Albany Shaker Road) from 11 am to 3 pm.

All proceeds from admissions to the Grand Carnival go toward the Pioneer Bank Foundation to support non-profits in our communities that help kids be kids. Launched last year, the Pioneer Bank Foundation is a nonprofit entity dedicated to supporting charitable organizations in the Capital Region that provide important services to children and their families related to education, nutrition, clothing, and housing.

Last year’s Grand Carnival attracted about 800 attendees, who raised $10,000 for the Pioneer Bank Foundation. Additionally, Pioneer Bank CEO Thomas Amell announced a $250,000 donation to the Foundation from Pioneer Bank during the event.

The Pioneer Bank Foundation also recently received an infusion of funding by way of an initial stock offering for Pioneer Bancorp, the newly-established holding company for Pioneer Bank. Pioneer Bancorp contributed 519,554 shares of common stock and $250,000 in cash to the Foundation.

Activities at the Pioneer Bank Foundation Grand Carnival will include carnival games, face painting, balloon animals, magic shows, caricatures, food and a dunk tank. B95.5 will also be on site providing festive music and activities throughout the day. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family of four or more, which includes all food, games and entertainment.

All Pioneer Bank branches, except for the Wolf Road branch, will be closed on Saturday, September 7, so that Pioneer Bank employees may volunteer at the Grand Carnival.

The Wolf Road Branch will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Customers will also be able to contact the Customer Care Center from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 518-730-3000, or to utilize Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) at ten branch locations from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. You can find more information on ITMs and their locations at www.pioneerbanking.com/itm/.
