Pine Ridge Industries, Employees Highlighted in Fresh Baitz Video as Part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Pine Ridge Industries, a production and manufacturing center in Scotia that partners with businesses to accelerate their goals while employing people with disabilities, is highlighting National Disability Employment Awareness Month and one of their employees in a new video.

Led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, National Disability Employment Awareness Month is held each October to commemorate the many and varied contributions of people with disabilities to America’s workplaces and economy. This year’s theme is “America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion.”

A recent video produced by Fresh Baitz, one of the twenty businesses that partners with Pine Ridge Industries, featured Dylan, who has been employed at Pine Ridge Industries since 2019. Fresh Baitz is a fishing tackle and lifestyle brand based in Massachusetts and has been working with Pine Ridge Industries since May 2021.

As an avid sportsman who is passionate about fishing and hunting, Dylan was more than excited when co-founders of Fresh Baitz Anthony Romeo and John Fields took him out on the water to try out a brand new bait!

“It’s really cool to be the first one to see a lot of the new baits when they come in,” says Dylan.

The skills that Dylan has developed as an outdoorsman have helped him in many of his job duties, from patience and practice to skill building and commitment.

The relationship between Fresh Baitz, Pine Ridge Industries, and Dylan highlights the unique way that employers of people with disabilities can greatly benefit from opportunities to work together.
