The Chamber was delighted to take part in the official opening of Tanya Henderson’s Our Village Services. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Tuesday, September 17.
Our Village Services is a counseling group practice that specializes in support services for families affected by mental health and substance use disorders. The qualified staff focus on the health of families by addressing the emotional, psychological, and physical needs of families. Supportive services offered can include, but are not limited to, one-on-one therapy, support groups, school-based programming, first responder therapy, nutritional counseling, and opioid grief therapy. Our Village Services partners with skilled professionals to provide comprehensive treatment.
With over 8 years of experience working in outpatient, residential, and managed-care settings, Tanya Henderson noticed that the needs of affected family members were being neglected. Introduced to the Capital Region as an AmeriCorps VISTA, Tanya continued to build her professional career and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).
Mental health and substance use can cause a significant strain on families. Our Village Services is committed to helping families navigate life stressors. No family should suffer alone, because it takes a village.
