Orange Wine & Spirits Uncorks New Retail Experience in Schenectady

The Capital Region Chamber celebrated the grand opening of Orange Wine & Spirits with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new location on Balltown Road in Schenectady, on May 8. The event marked the arrival of a locally owned specialty retailer focused on elevating the wine and spirits shopping experience in the Capital Region.

Emceed by Shawn Daley, Senior Director of Membership Development, the ceremony brought together community members, elected officials, and supporters to recognize both the business and the investment being made in the local economy. Orange Wine & Spirits was introduced as a destination for curated global selections, including rare and hard-to-find bottles paired with a customer experience rooted in product knowledge and personalized service.

Owner Narinder Singh shared the inspiration behind the business, drawing on more than a decade of retail experience and a long-held dream of opening a store of his own. Built on a foundation of family involvement and community focus, the shop reflects a passion for quality and accessibility. From exclusive, limited availability selections to convenient services like delivery and curbside pickup, Orange Wine & Spirits blends a boutique feel with modern convenience.

Senator Jim Tedisco joined in welcoming the business, recognizing its role in contributing to the diversity and vitality of the region’s small business landscape. The addition of Orange Wine & Spirits highlights the continued growth of independently owned enterprises that bring both character and economic energy to the community.

The celebration concluded with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, officially opening the doors to a new neighborhood destination where customers can discover unique selections and experience a thoughtful, service-driven approach to wine and spirits.
