Open Door Bookstore to Host Children’s Authors Teague, McCully

The Open Door Bookstore, located at 128 Jay Street, Schenectady will host children’s authors Emily McCully and  Mark Teague on Saturday, October 22. McCully will be signing books from 12 to 1:30 p.m., and Teague will do so from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

McCully is the author of Clara, the (mostly) true story of the rhinoceros who dazzled kings, inspired artists, and won the hearts of everyone… while she ate her way up and down a continent. McCully divides her time between New York City and upstate New York. She has won many awards for her children’s books, including the Caldecott Medal for Mirette on the High Wire.

Teague will sign his two books, How Do Dinosaurs Stay Friends? and Pirate Jamboree. Mark Teague has illustrated over 40 children’s books and written many as well. He has received the Christopher Medal and the Book Sense Book of the Year Award. He lives in Coxsackie with his family.
