Old Brick Furniture & Mattress Co. is excited to announce the opening of its ninth retail showroom in Amsterdam, NY. The tentative opening is scheduled for early summer.
The retail space is part of a five-tenant plaza purchased by Michael Fiacco, Owner + President of Old Brick Furniture + Mattress Co. The newest showroom will be adjacent to a shopping center anchored by Market 32 and Walmart. Old Brick will reside in a 24,000-square-foot space, formerly an OfficeMax, which will undergo remodeling.
The newest showroom will feature a popular assortment of Old Brick’s best sellers in addition to a 50-bed mattress gallery. Similar to the Clifton Park, NY showroom, opened under Michael Fiacco’s leadership in October 2021, the Amsterdam, NY showroom will feature a central administrative cash-warp area, improved wayfinding signage, customer coffee bar, a shop online kiosk to raise awareness of Old Brick’s growing e-commerce and direct ship assortment, and a Design Studio for custom furniture selections. The new showroom will create an additional 8 jobs.
Fiacco states, “We have seen a consistent trend in our guest footprint coming from the Amsterdam, NY region. While we’re thankful for consumer willingness to commute to other Capital Region showrooms, with our value proposition and no-pressure shopping environment, we believe planting roots directly within the Amsterdam community, given the revitalization efforts there, will be an improvement to customer experience.”
