June 22, 2018O’Connell & Aronowitz Expands Business Law and Commercial Litigation Practice
O’Connell and Aronowitz has announced another major expansion of its business law and commercial litigation practices with the addition of three experienced business law attorneys. Joining the 93-year-old law firm are Daniel J. Tuczinski, Karen Martino Valle and Roland M. Cavalier, formerly of Tuczinski Gilchrist Cavalier Tingley. Bringing extensive experience in business transactions, commercial litigation and tax law, as well as municipal, regulatory and mediation/arbitration practices, the trio help solidify O’Connell and Aronowitz’s position as having one of the largest, most diverse and prominent business law departments among upstate New York law firms.
“Dan, Karen and Roland add tremendous depth and versatility to our business practice which our commercial clients need in this continually changing and increasingly challenging business environment,” said Firm president Jeffrey J. Sherrin. “For businesses large or small, we have the resources to provide legal guidance on most any issue one might experience or wish to consider.”
The Firm has contracted for additional office space at its State Street location to accommodate the expanding team of attorneys.
Jeffrey A. Mr. Tuczinski, a Partner at his prior firm, has an extensive legal background including trial, arbitration and mediation practices, as well as client representation in corporate, business, regulatory, insurance, municipal & land use matters, and personal injury. His experience also includes representing municipalities including town, zoning and planning boards. He earned his JD at Albany Law School and is a summa cum laude graduate of State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
Ms. Valle, who was principal attorney at Tuczinski Gilchrist Cavalier Tingley, concentrates in the organization and operation of businesses and not-for-profit corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. She advises clients across a breadth of business ventures including transactional matters, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and commercial leasing and financing with a special focus on health-related entities. She earned her LLM in Taxation from New York University and graduated from St. John’s University earning her JD cum laude and her Bachelor of Science magna cum laude.
Mr. Cavalier has been advising business clients for over four decades. His broad-based practice is concentrated in business law with representation of corporate and other business clients including shareholders of closely-held corporations, partners in partnerships and members of limited liability companies. In addition to civil litigation in the court system, Roland has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and graduated valedictorian from Albany Law School obtaining his Juris Doctor degree.
