December 4, 2020NYSERDA Offering Programs to Help NYS Businesses Improve Energy Efficiency and Reduce Energy Costs
NYS Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers many programs to help NYS businesses improve their energy efficiency and reduce energy costs. NYSERDA’s Green Jobs/Green New York (GJGNY) Energy Study Program provides energy studies to small commercial (<100 employees) and not-for-profit entities (of any size). A GJGNY Energy Study will identify and evaluate opportunities to become more energy efficient and also to lower energy costs.
Currently, NYSERDA is offering these studies at no cost for applications received by December 31, 2020. Studies will be scheduled at the customers convenience.
Green Jobs Green New York Energy Studies include:
- Evaluation of current utility bills and costs
- Comprehensive building survey and walkthrough (with appropriate COVID-19 protection)
- Unbiased evaluation of low-cost/no-cost and capital improvement energy efficiency upgrades
An Energy Study Report that summarizes the energy and cost savings opportunities along with paybacks
