The New York Council of Nonprofits will hold Camp Finance 2015 on Thursday and Friday, October 8 and 9 at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz.
The keynote speaker will be Rebecca Masisak, CEO of Tech Soup, speaking on “The Mission/Technology Integration Imperative.” If you lead a nonprofit today, chances are you lead a ‘technology nonprofit’ – meaning that understanding and harnessing technology is critical to your nonprofit’s success. Technology today is a game-changer. It changes how people engage in society, search for employment, keep their health records, exercise their civic duties and, sometimes even, find their next meal or shelter for the night. Technology is more accessible and affordable than ever, but often the ability to choose, use and optimize it remains elusive. Masisak will share perspectives from a variety of nonprofits and you’ll walk away with at least five ideas your nonprofit can use to better leverage technology for good.
