November 20, 2025Northern Rivers Welcomes Assistant Superintendent
Northern Rivers Family of Services announced that Leesa Crawford-Imoro has joined the organization as Assistant Superintendent of Schools. She will provide oversight and direction for Northern Rivers’ educational division, including the Early Learning Center and the School at Northeast, both in Schenectady; and the Neil Hellman School in Albany. Together the facilities serve more than 500 students from infancy through 12th grade every year.
Crawford-Imoro previously served as a school principal with Capital Region BOCES, as an assistant principal with the Schoharie Central School District, and as a home school coordinator with the Albany City School District. She also has more than a decade of experience as a school counselor at Lansingburgh High School and with Questar III.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in human services and social welfare from Empire State College, her master’s degree in school counseling from Capella University, holds School Building Leader and School District Leader educational leadership certifications from the College of Saint Rose, and is pursuing her Doctor of Education in executive leadership from the American College of Education.
