Northern Rivers Names New Board Members

Northern Rivers Family of Services announced that Vincent Commisso, Denise Mednikov, and Brittany Vogel have joined the organization’s Board of Directors. Additionally, existing board member Ferdinand Morales has been named Treasurer.

Commisso is a Shareholder and CPA with Teal, Becker, and Chiaramonte, maintaining supervisory responsibility for audit staff, providing quality control, mentoring junior and senior staff, and facilitating client communications. He also has extensive experience in providing tax services. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Siena College.

Mednikov, who has previously engaged with Northern Rivers as both a client and as an employee at the organization’s Early Learning Center, is a representative with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. She has also worked as a medical program coordinator for St. Catherine’s Center for Children. She earned a health studies certificate from Schenectady County Community College and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University at Albany.

Vogel is an assistant store manager with Hannaford and is the founder of Upstate Cakes for Kids, a nonprofit that helps youth in need celebrate birthdays. She earned her associate’s degree in business administration from Hudson Valley Community College.

Morales, who joined the board in 2018, is a vice president of operations with MAXIMUS.
