Northern Rivers Family of Services has named Barbara Pasinella and Mary Purdy Senior Directors of Prevention Services.
Pasinella will oversee the provision of community-based services at Northern Rivers member organization Northeast Parent & Child Society. Purdy will oversee the provision of community-based services at member organization Parsons Child & Family Center. Together, Northern Rivers prevention programs serve more than 5,000 children and family members each year.
Pasinella joined the organization in 1988, and has worked in a variety of clinical and supervisory roles over the past 30 years. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from Russell Sage College.
Purdy joined the organization in 1991, working in educational and community-based programs throughout her tenure. She previously served as a school counselor in Troy City Schools and and as a substance abuse counselor. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from the University at Albany.
