July 27, 2015Northeast Ballet Announces Open Auditions for Nutcracker
Northeast Ballet Nutcracker will hold open auditions on Saturday, September 19 at Proctors Theater in Schenectady. Auditions are as follows:
- Children’s Roles, 12 noon – 1 p.m. (age 5-8, must be 5 on 9/19/15)
- Children’s Roles, 1 – 2:30 p.m. (age 9-12)
- Act One – Party Scene, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. (adult roles – actors/dancers)
- Variations, 3:30 – 5 p.m. (age 13 and up, please bring pointe shoes if on pointe; limited paid positions available for professionsls)
Registration is $25 payable to Northeast Ballet. Forms will be available at the audition.
Auditions Attire:
Ladies: black leotard, pink tights, hair in bun (no wisps), and pink ballet slippers
Men: black tights, white tank or t-shirt, black ballet slippers, hair neat and off face
Guests artists for this performance are NYCB Principals Lauren Lovette and Gonzalo Garcia.
The performance dates for the Nutcracker are:
Proctors Theater: December 4, 5 , and 6
Teas at SPAC Hall of Springs: November 15
The Northeast Ballet Gala will be held on Friday December 4.
